Bike Racing Paar’tee-Nye’s Blog

IMG_8178 We are very motivated to show our Team’s vast talents.  Few, if any race teams will do this, but, we’ll be attacking Enduro this Season, while staying the course in Road and Cross Country Racing!  Our Team Director is having us focus on things a little differently for the 2015 season like:  focusing more on physiological skills (lhaving good coordination, flexibility and having a solid body structure to excel in any sport or activity), rekindling and building on our technical skill talents by putting them towards a priority of Enduro racing, and helping new and old Sponsors bring exciting new products to the market in the 2015 season, all while keeping a watchful eye on our specific racing goals.

IMG_8236Since we ended our 2014 Season in August, we took 3 months off from competitive racing and training. It was really beneficial to do other sports and activities to stay fit.  Our break has made us very motivated to start competitively cycling again!   There are a lot of things that we are ready to tackle and explore this year…  Some of the racing goals we’ve set for the 2015 race season are to be the Downieville Classic Champions, win a USA Road Championship and grap some more gold at the Mountain Bike National Championships, a California Road Race Championship and a California Enduro Series Championship.  Jake’s would also like to be a NICA League Champion, too!

IMG_8056One of the things our Team is looking forward to the most this year is racing Enduro because we love those races that go into the backcountry where it’s filled with cool animals and plants to view.  New for this year we’ll be racing on Enduro bikes, riding our new Marin Attack Trail CXT 9 Full Suspension Bikes.  I’ll be moving up to the 13-14 and Jake will be moving up to the 15-16 year old age groups this year and for Enduro Races we’ll have to compete in either U18 or U21 which will definitely offer up some big challenges!

IMG_7915We’ll be promoting a whole palate of sponsors this year both new and old.  The companies that we’ll continue to promote from the 2014 season are: Full Speed Ahead, Yakima Racks, Panaracer Tires, Primal Wear, Osprey Packs, Shimano USA, Sidi Shoes, Xpedo Pedals, Light and Motion Bike Lights and Ergon Bike Ergonomics.  Our new sponsors for 2015 are: Vision, Marin Bikes, Marzocchi Suspension, Slime, Genuine Innovations, White Lightning Lubricants and Velo Reno Bike Shop.   We’ll be riding Marin’s Attack Trail XT9 Full Suspension Enduro Bike (We’ve only ridden on the trails a few times but can tell this bike is awesome!!!!) and The Stelvio Elite Road Bike (which is as light as a newspaper in my perspective!).  We’ll be using a Dropper Post, a great addition to already fun Attack Trail Enduro Bike.  We’ll be helping FSA/Vision bring their sweet new carbon fiber MTB wheelsets to the market.  Slime/Genuine Innovations will be supporting Yackle Brothers Racing with some of their cool products.  White Lightning will be lubing up our rides and races in 2015 and Velo Reno, our local bike shop will be supporting us also this year!!!

We know our Team can make 2015 a great year, what about you, I guess you’ll have to stay tuned to find out?!IMG_8257
