Mountain States Cup-3 Podiums

Full Tilt in Telluride, Colorado concluded one of two Regional Race Series that Jake and Nye have competed in this season.  The final race in the Mountain States Cup Regional Race Series, the Full Tilt in Telluride was also the Colorado State XC Championship.  Jake blazed his way to a 1st place finish, winning both the  Juniors < 14 yrs State Championship and the Mountain States Cup Point Series.  Jake took 1st place in three of the four Series races, missing one race due to a race conflict.  Each of his three wins, he also won the Overall Cat 3, beating out all Juniors and adult racers!  Nye, in spite of his age and diminuitive size compared to his 14 year old race competitors, came away with a 5th place finish and took the podium for 3rd in the MSC Point Series.  MSC Regional Race Series is one of the toughest in the nation, because they are held at high altitude ski areas, racing at elevations between 9,000 and 11,000 feet.

Jake and Nye’s impressive racing abilities elevated the Yackle Brothers Racing Team to an impressive 2nd place for Junior Teams in the Point Series!  With five races left in the New Mexico Off Road Regional Point Series,  Nye is positioned to win the NM Off Road Series Cat 3 Juniors <18 years title, and Jake is the clear leader for the NM Off Road Series Cat 2 Juniors <18 years win.  Next stop, Top of the World Race in Red River, NM!
